yvrbenz ◊ 2026-03-07 14:22	Not a replica. One of the four, factory built 500SL Rallyes intended to race in the 1981 WRC season. Of the four original, only 2 remain. This is one of them. The other is white in colour and both are in a private collection in Germany. A FIFTH car was built from a body-in-white by the Kassel Merceds-Benz dealership and used in the 1983 ADAC German Rally Championship. That car is the most photographed of the 500SL Rallyes and is now in the possession of the Mercedes-Benz Museum/Classic Center .
