Ouch - they used two cars for this - and crashed the wrong one..... The main shot is a 1969 XK-E Series II, sporting a variety of US required uglification for 1969. The headlights are not covered, the taillights are below the bumper, with side marker lights. The car parked next to the Firebird is a Series I (1961-1967) - which has glass enclosed headlights, so the nose is like a bullet. Also taillights are above the bumper. Average 1967 SI value today per Hagerty is $112,000, with an exceptional show car trading for $240,000. Average 1969 SII value today per Hagerty is $58,000. with an exceptional show car trading for $115,000. The crash car is the SI. Other than that - a great chase. |
