Painted to look like a Parisian taxi. First has its roof torn off, then the rear end is taken off as well. |

It is not a taxi color, it is just one of the colors available for the R11. Old parisian taxis where black & red (and then blue & red for some Renault Espace if I remember well). |

Right,it is a 11 ...somewhat RTE or ?...in a standard renault colour. About old parisian taxis, there where several companies with specific colours , Black/Creem, Black/yellow line, the most famous beeing G7 with black body and red roof... In the 80's they tried to introduce again a specific colour Blue/red on some Renault Espace I, but this experience was not followed (unfortunately..) |

It is a renault 11 TXE. You can find an extract of this movie that way : http://perso.wanadoo.fr/maronze/m_film.htm |

It's a renault 11 TSE or TSE "Electronic" for me. With 1.4 Litre (C2J 1397 cm3) 72 HP dual barel engine. The 1.7 Liter (F2N 1721 cm3 OHC) of "TX", "GTX" and "TXE" has been mount end 1985 / start 1986 if I remember. The Electronic have a nice package (in 1984) with many, funny electronic features, like LCD dashboard, voice module, remote doors lock with infrared remote, HiFi "phillips" in board with 6 HP, all electric... And many littles problems of connections Probably a future collector in 2015 |

You can see on the bonnet it says TXE. |
◊ 2008-01-01 12:31 |
The Main picture isn't very good, can it be changed? |
◊ 2008-04-28 23:39 |
I wonder how it managed to drive for so long with only the petrol in the fuel lines? I think some top models had a talking dashboard, like the ones fitted to the Austin/MG Maestro. |
◊ 2008-04-28 23:56 |
It probably had a fuel tank tucked away somewhere. Of course in real life this wouldn't happen, but the Roger Moore Bond films aren't known for their realism. |
◊ 2008-10-11 20:30 |
Bond steals this taxi and tries to follow May Day (who is flying in a parachute). |
◊ 2008-10-11 20:57 |
It doesn't have that badge on all the cars (various ones were used). |

hi everybody!!! as you can see in this movie, there\'s 2 or 3 differents R11 TXE... In first, we can see a R11 TXE electronic, but just when Roger jumped into the car, because seats are specifics into Electronic. after, it\'s just a R11 TXE: seats are classics... and as said G-MANN, sometimes, there is the Badge TXE on the bonnet, sometime it doesn\'t if you want, i can do you short exposition about the 11 TXE Electronic. (i\'m french, and i\'m 11 TXE ELECTRONIC owner, so please, scuse my poor vocabulary and grammatical expression)but, it should a good idea if someone could correct my text... perhaps nobody\'ll interested by my proposition, so, too bad...!! I can propose some pictures to my 11 TXE Electronic... if someone is interested by this scare car...!!! Patrick so, as said Arnaultl, 11 TXE Electronic is a specific line. |

Most of the shit you saw in the film of the car getting bits of it severed would NEVER happen in real life -- Last edit: 2009-02-05 20:55:50 (Animatronixx) |

the guy driving it in the mainpic, dosn´t look like Roger Moore. |
◊ 2012-06-07 17:55 |
Indeed, that seems quite eyebrow-raising. |

At the time this movie was made, Renaults were being distributed by American Motors Corp in the US. Wonder if it's prominent placement in this film is a leftover from the previous two Bond films? AMC provided cars for both. -- Last edit: 2013-03-20 19:08:11 |

I saw the Bond Cars special on Top Gear and according to Richard Hammond, this car was selected on a budget. According to Hammond, one of those would cost £2000 and that is without the Bond "extras". |

The licence plate ("75" indicating Paris) is fake by the way, since - according to Wikipedia at least - no "O" was issued, to avoid confusion with the number 0. |

can a car collision really cut a car in half? Can this really happen? |
◊ 2019-06-28 04:04 |
It's for sale now through the Orlando Auto Museum, both halves. https://www.orlandoautomuseum.com/sales/vehicles/1999/1984-renault-renault It's D. 359ETD75 would be correct for a plate issued in 1983 Paris. http://plaque.free.fr/f_1980s.html |

El cascadeur que va fer la majoria d'acrobacies amb el R11, es el recentment desaparegut Remy Julienne i el seu equip. |
