Caprice |

Both of them are Caprices, one's an 80s model and the other is 1991/92 model. |

The one to the left is a 1986-1990 model while the one to the right is, as G-MANN said, a 1991-1992 model. Since this appears to be an actual street scene, I'm pretty sure both are actual 9C6 taxi models. The box-body is a bit more visible but the newer Caprice has a more narrow year range, so it's up to you tonka. -- Last edit: 2009-10-22 12:41:12 |

would 9C6 go in the extra info or Chassis? |

Extra info, just like 9C1. |

The 9C6 is a package fitted into this vehicle. For Chassis code, that is another story... |

Where is this supposed to take place? I kinda doubt NYC because of that bus. -- Last edit: 2009-10-24 03:55:40 |

Actually, I just checked IMDb and New York city isn't listed as a filming location, but Los Angeles is. The street could definitely be an LA one and the streetlight that is visible seems more California-ish. The license plates are NYC props, but because of this, I doubt these are actually 9C6's. |

The bus's destination blind doesn't have a route number, which leads me to think that it's just been "dressed" for the film. |

Kinda figured. Thanks guys! |

Not only that, but NYCTA buses have had electric destination signs since 1980. This is clearly a roll sign...not to mention that by 1998 the box body caprices would be rare to see still in cab service. -- Last edit: 2009-10-24 22:01:24 |
