Pontiac didn't introduce the Trans Am until '69, and the 455 wasn't available in the Firebirds until 1970 when GM lifted the restriction on big block engines in midsized cars. I haven't seen the movie, but in all likelihood it's a Firebird 400 if it's a hi-perf car. |

I can't tell what the car on the right is. |

GTO-wade is right. the car pictured above (left) is a 1968 irebird. You can tell because of the shape of the marker lights. (they were moved to the corner unlike '67 which had them only in the front) 69, as we all know, is a revised body style not to be confused with 67/ 68 models. The car on the right looks like a Ford torino 1968 ish.. Though, I could be wrong. I have not seen this movie and am only judging by the above pic. |

So it is not a Trans Am? |

Indeed, the `68 had wrap-around marker lights which were visible when looking from the front or side, while the `67 markers were visible only from the front. Also, the car on the right is most likely a `68 or `69 Ford Torino. -- Last edit: 2007-05-28 23:44:27 |

What is the other car in the picture? I'm guessing a '68 or '69 Ford Torino. |

Oops, should have read the comment above mine before posting. Actually, I'm guessing it's a '68, based on the center horizontal bar in the grille, since I think the '69 grille had more of a solid center horizonal bar. |
