I see that the humour factor was lost in the second picture. |

Sorry, I suppose I just didn't want anybody to get offended. |

I doubt that it would offend many people ![]() |

![]() And the Dutch highways are wide enough, the most exits, too (Vinkeveen on the A2 is a counterexample). All other streets in NL are indeed quite narrow. I have to admit, that this sucks sometimes. ![]() -- Last edit: 2010-02-10 21:25:56 |

It's rather offending, that the archive was filled up with comments of this movie. ![]() |

The comments about the Mercedes W111 |

You mean comments archived on /vehicle_239336-Mercedes-Benz-280-SE-Convertible-W111-1969.html ? Indeed I do not see why, as it was not an off-topic discussion... (archive is for off-topic discussions that are worth keeping) |

@ Ingo: Exit to Vinkeveen is under reconstruction since quite some time. It was quite dangerous indeed. In de 60s this sharp corner was paved with bricks ![]() |

Well I didn't delete them and had no malicious intentions so I don't see why you should be offended. Besides, if it really bothers you then comment on that page and not here as I didn't understand your initial comment. If you're really that offended by it then I can un-archive them, all you had to do was ask. |

@ford_guy: this would be fine, many thanks. @DynaMike: are some old-style highway-exits with bricks still existing? In Germany we had for a long time many Autobahn-exits, rest-areas, too, with cobblestone-pavement, not only in the GDR. Nearly all of them were broken off and renovated in the last 15-18 years. I think, today you have to go to Poland, to the left-overs of the "Reichsautobahn 1", if you want to see some. But the sharp edge in the Vinkeveen-exit was not unique. I'm using such an sharp-edged exit daily. But it's a hidden one. Official, but hidden. No signs for it. It's known as the "corruption-exit". An undersecretary of the Kohl-government let it built. It's officially concealed, but it was the reason indeed. |

ingo, no problem. But next time just please be more direct instead of merely complaining. I'm a reasonable enough person, something can always be worked out ![]() |

@ Ingo: I don't think any of these dangerous exits exist nowadays in Holland... (but I can't be ure, of course). Only maybe some temporary exit during reconstruction. |

ford_guy: thanks. I wrote my comment, because I cannot see, who had deleted it. I think, I wrote quite politely, that I wasn't amused. Real complaing by me would sound different... ![]() |

But the comments weren't deleted, they were archived. |
