Most reliable intelligence is that the Gomer Pyle USMC AA Ford truck was one and the same as that used as the Darling family's truck in The Andy Griffith Show, this one: /vehicle_59118-Ford-Model-AA-1928.html And this one: /vehicle_59118-Ford-Model-AA-1928.html At some point in the Gomer Pyle USMC run, the story line had this truck blown up.
