I checked the soviet stuff and it isn't one of them

perhaps could be a german leftover

Why? Can be simply pre-war, then there are many possibilities as well.

Also don't have to be Soviet, like it has been stated once.

some extra shots

cabin confirmed on the left side, also quite important it has an inwards sliding door !! that said I still don't have any idea what it might be :( it could be very well pre WW2 but have no idea what Poland imported from or perhaps they build some themselves before WW2

from the soviet inventory this is the only one which comes close Экскаватор Э-5010

EDIT google translate says the Э-5010 was designed in late 50s which rules it out to be this...

wouldn't be funny if in the dialog they mention help from "soviet friends" and the machine is a western product ?

this may be solved , distinct roff section, cabin on the left side with a sliding door and overall shape suggests this is a swedish LANSVERK

compare

swedish wiki has a list of their model range

so cable excavators until 1951 are this

1946 LA-5
1948 LB-5
1950 L-65
1950 LA-4
1951 L-40

https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landsverk#Civila_arbetsredskap

but you guessed it no reference ... but the later ones have the same distinct roof and the inside sliding door on the left driver side

Quote It starts with the backhoe LA 5 which was made in 1945-1946 2 pieces were produced. LA 5 was improved and named LB 5 which was produced between 1948 and 1949 LB 5 was made in 23 copies.

In 1950, the crane was further improved, given the name L-65 and produced in 244 copies between the years 1950-1956. In 1957 it was time for the L 67, which was produced until 1959 in 82 copies. then came the L-77, which was produced in 330 copies over six years. What happened next is Swedish corporate history with companies like Åkermans and Volvo BM involved. These days it says Hitachi or Hyundai on the excavator buckets, so wasn't everything better before? If I counted correctly, 681Landsverk excavator buckets were manufactured in the L series from 1945 until 1965.

earliest reference the L-67 which pretty much looks generally like our mystery and has same mining size
