Okay, this is definitely an Invacar MK12, but this was never built by AC. The Invacar story is very murky and hardly any information exists about the subject, so it's easy to get confused. The name 'Invacar' is technically a seperate marque, in as much that 'AC' 'Tippen' or 'Barrett' were marques who all produced different variations of the invacar (hence the confusion). The Invacar marque was set up originally by the Greeves company in the 40s, and after it won the governemt contract, other makes joined up to boost production. There was some cross-over between marques, but mostly they made entirely seperate and unique vehicles. The car in this film, and pictured above could either be listed as a (marque)Greeves (model) Invacar MK12, or a (marque)Invacar (model) MK12..... but not as an AC! I hope this makes some sense....
