For some export markets the ID was available with DS equipement (like the bigger hubcaps and the long 'trunpets'). Interesting here is also the Citroën writing on the trunk The diagonal thing on the lower left corner). The parking light on the B-pillar was placed between October 1958 and January 1962. I guess the coloour Though a bit faded) will be Gris Typhon (AC 417), only available for model year 1961. Gag Halfrunt ◊ 2009-02-16 11:46	Sri Lanka drives on the left, so LHD cars are probably rare and perhaps banned altogether. The CC prefix on the plate suggests that this ID might be a consular vehicle, which would explain why it's LHD. I found a similar-ish red plate with CC on Francoplaque, but it doesn't say what type of plate it is: Link to "plaque.free.fr"
Eleroo ◊ 2014-04-17 00:21	CC was/is the temporary or limited usage registration prefix used on trade plates, or 'garage numbers' as they were/are known in Ceylon/Sri Lanka. Consular/embassy/diplomatic vehicles had/have the letters 'DPL' in black on a white oval plate or sticker, similar to international touring identification plates: 'GB', 'USA', 'D', 'CH', 'F', 'AUS', etc. LHD cars are not and never have been banned in Sri Lanka.
