It’s “real” in that it exists, but it’s never flown in this configuration. G-BDXJ has been grounded at Dunsfold Aerodrome in England since around 2005 and was initially modified with these dual engine pods for Casino Royale. It’s since appeared in numerous films, as one could observe over at IMPDb

This 'prototype' is planned to be blown up by Dimitrios' men.
