Can't comment on the truck, but Tokyo Gas & Electric Industry was one of the ancestors of Isuzu and in 1916 apparently merged with Tokyo Ishikawajiama Ship Building & Engineering Company to gear up for car production. In 1918 they signed a contract with Wolseley, and after 4 years experimentation and testing launched the locally built Wolseley A9 in December 1922. |
