In 1961, AB Stockholms Spårvägar purchased a test bus from the German manufacturer Büssing. The tests were satisfactory and during the 1960s a total of 400 buses were purchased from this manufacturer. A large delivery took place before the right-hand traffic changeover in 1967. At that time, 277 Büssing Präfekt 13Ds were delivered. Car numbers 4171-4280 were manufactured in the Danish factory Karosserifabrik A/S in Svendborg.

They operated both inner-city and suburban lines. This example comes from SL's Nyboda depot and has operated in Stockholm's southwestern suburbs
