Fingers crossed for this one. Ducati built some early Spitfires (about 1964-66) and were Italian Triumph distributors in the 1960s. This has been discussed several times on Italian Spit pages - it happened but solid info elusive; buried in those refs are claims they also did Heralds, but even less info to work with. This convertible has bonnet strip without handle (62+) and pre-65 small sidelights, but unusual perforated wheels so potentially a Ducati build. I'll post it as one to attract attention - either to draw out more info or to be shot down. Another potential Ducati build (but has wires). Also a nice Super Minx behind, but I think Touring had stopped building them before Mk3 facelift. |

Was the Rome plate entirely visible? |

Nothing more. I'd say '631230 ROMA' |
