1966 250 S, W 108. 14" Wheels with small rings, not fully cromed windows, it is a 250 s or SE, cannot be 300 E.

@RushCars24ID:

It's much more complicated than that.
After the 'one body' system previously used on the W110, W111 and the W112, Daimler-Benz (that is what the parent company is called) wanted to widen the repertoire a bit.
Therefore Paul Bracq styled a car that looked longer, lower and wider, but in fact used the same chassis as the previous models! That resulted in the W108 series and the extended W109 series which used air suspension and on the outside was separated from the W108 in as much as the side windows frames and the A-pillar were fully chromed .
The engines (inline 6) used were developments from the W111 and later the W113, but also the W112.
Hence came about cast iron blocks for the 250 S (twin carburettors) and the 250 SE (fuel injection) and an alloy block for the 300 SE (very expensive which resulted in poor sales).

But there were problems with high oil consumption (several reasons) which forced Daimler-Benz to develop a new series of engines, for the 280 series (among them the 280 S and the 280 SE), which were introduced in 1968.

From the outside the grille with small holes were used on the (1966-68) 250 S, the (1966-67) 250 SE and the (1966-67) 300 SE while a grille with bigger holes was introduced in 1968 for the 280 series.
The small hubcaps were fitted as standard until MY 1967, but some MY 1968 got them as well. And the wheels are interchangeable.
But don't only look at the wheels as many (also at the time) put the W108/W109 wheels (14" rims) on the older W111 cars (which used 13" rims) to get the revs down a bit at free ways. And some have put the early W108 wheels on the 280's because they find them more appealing...

Conclusion:
The above car is likely to be one out of the following list (all [W 108]):
- 1966-68 250 S
- 1966-67 250 SE
- 1966-67 300 SE
- 1968 280 S or
- 1968 280 SE.

Not likely 1969+ as the headlights by then became flatter.
