The famous University Cafe on Byres Road, Partick. Allegedly where the deep-fried Mars Bar was invented, although there are other claimants. Run by the same Italian family for over 100 years, they do a bargain deep-fried ½-chicken and chips which with a bowl of their home-made Italian ice-cream is a meal to die for. |
