It's got a very nice shiny bottom in 1st thumb - no rust or dirt, even with an allowance for most of the visible metal probably being aluminium. |

As noted above, this is RM1245, which was built in 1962. Supposedly being restored as of 2015. |

The Routemaster was in service with London Transport and its successors between 1958 and 2005, so the answer to your question is lots and lots and lots of bus drivers employed in London.
