Seen in the background is "Chaos Pendel", a 2018 Propeller by Funtime Thrill Rides. Operator Ottens claims: "At 80 km/h at a height of 47 meters, 15000 LEDs on gondolas & arms, gravity up to 4G". Ride-Index pageMain leading actors Engelke and Pastewka repeatedly mentioned in interviews how they almost spent an entire day filming on that ride and they didn't enjoy it. Sincerely, IMARDb ![]() |

Lol, is it really named that way in real life? I thought it was just its name for the series. But if it's from 2018, it would be anachronistic since the scene above is set in 2014... |

Of course it is! Carnival rides seldom get renamed in movies or TV series - Rollercoaster (1977) is a famous exception, though. Creating that full theming just for the show would have been ridiculously expensive and probably not even AMZ Prime Video is ready to spend that much money for the mere effect of having an individual name on screen. An advanced version of this ride with an additional arm is even called "Chaos Pendle" by the manufacturer and I guess this served as inspiration to name this unit like that. Even though highlighting this clearly wasn't my intention, this is indeed an anachronism, as no such ride with that kind of excenter mechanism (= the green element in my picture) was around in Germany back in 2014 and this unit travels under the German flag since 2020. It's still one of a kind on the German market in August 2024, at least by Funtime Thrill Rides. |
