Standard Catalog says no US Vauxhalls after 62my when FB Victor was the only offering, although some leftover sales into 63. Good account here of how CDN got 2 parallel strands of FCs - the Envoy (as said above) - "Canadian Chevrolet-Buick dealers once again got their own variant, the Envoy, offered as the Special sedan and Sherwood wagon. Only badges, a U.K.-market VX4/90 specification grille and minor trim variations distinguished Envoys from their Vauxhall cousins." The other strand was normal Vauxhall FCs sold thru Pontiac dealers, such as this derelict 101 Super with Alberta plate from the same link So ex-CDN the best explanation; as a fallback some may have been sold in Mexico (no idea whether they actually were, but plausible they tried), so another possible cross-border infiltrator. |
