I'm thinking of importing a used Crown Victoria similar to this one. Preferably with a police Interceptor package. No newer than 1996 because it's almost impossible to get it registered here (because of EU directives). |

Raul, do you ever take your Aspen to car shows? |

I don't take it to car shows but I attend cruisings - there are cruisings held for old American cars twice every month. Every first friday of a month there is a big cruising in the capital city of Helsinki. Cars are parked in the centre of city and from there some people cruise to a McDonalds which is designed in 1950's style. It's nice to cruise in a summer night when it's still like a day (in this part of world). |

Raul, do you hate "the tail"? |

You mean the tail of Crown Vic ?? |

No, the tail on cruisings, people attending with beat up Volvos just to get drunk. |

I know this problem. For many years it has been organized so that when there is a US-cruising there is at the same time another place nearby reserved for burn-out and tuning crowd. |

Raul, why do you want a Police Interceptor model? The civilian models are much nicer and more comfy, plus (in my opinion anyway) they look better (the trim deatails and such). |

Because of better performance I guess. Always wanted to have a four-door 'sleeper'. Same 4,6L engine but heavy-duty gearbox, performance shocks and brakes. 0 to 60 in 6,0 seconds and engine rated at around 250hp ?? No one seems to know the real figures. |

6.0 seconds in a Crown Victoria?? Don't be silly! The 0-60 time for the 2005 LX model (civilian) is 8.1 seconds, I supect the police model is maybe 0.5 seconds faster or so. Horsepower for the police models (the new ones anyway) is 250 exactly (you guessed right ) and for the regular LX models (the new ones) is 224 HP. The older ones from the 90s however are a bit slower (0-60 in around 9.5 seconds for the civilian models) -- Last edit: 2008-08-26 05:21:21 |
