Although Japanese passenger cars were not well received in foreign countries until well into the 1960s, it seems that Japanese trucks and buses had a good reputation in under-motorised countries. Spain, a country similar to Turkey in economic terms in the 1950s and 1960s, also received a number of Japanese commercial vehicles.
