"X" could mean that it's a demo car, as nowhere on BAC's official website does it refer to the standard Mono as an X. There are two versions of the updated Mono road car, the Mono and the Mono R. The old Mono did not have that jet engine-shaped air intake on the left side. The shape of this air intake is the biggest giveaway of which Mono you're looking at. The image you provided is an artist's render, BAC has never made an offroad Mono.
