Meteor Rideau?? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meteor_Rideau |

The Meteor was Ford-based, so I'm not sure why that would be relevant here. The 1955 Monarch can be confused for the 1956 Mercury, a key difference, however, is the shape of the spinners and the placement of the lower grill bars. |

Alright pretty condescending, also what is it then? |

Sorry, I didn't realise you were being serious. Unless there's a better angle showing the side-trim or upholstery, we're not going to be able to identify the model. Rinspeed is probably among the least generous admins when it comes to providing thumbnails, so I'm guessing we'll have to get someone else to get captures. Probably the best bet would be to locate the car in question online, through movie car rental services and whatnot. |

^ It appears this is the only other "angle" (just before the main pic):![]() full size crop of the main pic: ![]() |

Thanks. Montclair excluded (no side-flash or rocker panel), which leaves us Custom or Monterey. The Monterey had a round emblem on the front fender trim, while the Custom didn't. Can't say for sure whether it's present on subject car. On the other hand - the Monterey had a thick layer of roofline chrome, while the Custom only had a narrow strip. So this looks like a Monterey to me. |
