Austin Seven seems likely. It will not be towing the plane, but acting as a sort of escort/pathfinder. The Austin had 10.5 bhp, and weighed about half a ton. The aircraft tug used at Croydon Aerodrome in the 1930s was a Citroën Kegresse half track. -- Last edit: 2024-01-16 09:37:14 |
