The absence of bumper trim indicates 2001+ Of course, it could have been painted over I suppose... Too dark to see if the grill is for a 1999-00 model or a 2001+ model either ![]() |

It's a honeycomb grill and therefore a 2001+ model. The spotlight would mean it's a [P71] model. -- Last edit: 2009-10-21 01:36:46 |

This is a taxi though, not a police interceptor. |

In the US, the majority of taxis are old police cars. The driver's side spotlight indicates that this car was at one time used by a law enforcement agency. |

Can't spotlights just be added as an aftermarket accessory, though? |

But why would a taxicab company want do that? ![]() |

Of course Wampa-One. But as I said, the great majority of taxis in the US are old police models. If a Crown Victoria, the most popular police car in the US, has a spotlight, then it more likely than not must have served with some sort of a law enforcement agency. Old police cars are cheap for taxi companies and movie studio productions. -- Last edit: 2008-07-12 02:36:17 |
