jpts ◊ 2015-09-27 17:52	This scene was a reenactment of the kidnapping of Richard Mad Richard Mladenich who was kidnapped at his home by Dino Dibra and an associate of Mladenich, Rocco Arico on the morning of the 2nd August 1999. Mladenich had worked for the Morans as a bodyguard and when he was kidnapped, Dibra and Arico had held him to try and extort money out of the Morans, but the Morans had refused to pay for his ransom. At the time, detectives who were after Dibra for the shooting of a bouncer at the Dome Nightclub, had placed listening devices in his car and house and had heard that Dibra and Arico had kidnapped Mladenich and had him locked in the boot. When the detectives had raided Dibra's home in Taylors Lakes, Victoria, they found Mladenich still locked inside the boot. Mladenich was later shot dead by an unknown hitman at the Esquire Hotel in St. Kilda, Victoria on the night of the 16th May 2000. -- Last edit: 2025-08-20 14:41:08
