Seconds later the car returns from supposedly the other end of the same street, but it's actually the same shot as the first, only it's not flipped this time: What the car is doing is it's trying to rid the world of Ann Savage, but in doing so it changes shape both times: attempt 1 (follows the flipped shot): attempt 2 (follows the un-flipped shot): This new shape appears to be this car (whose occupant tries to shoot Don Barry earlier in the picture):
