Judging by the grille texture and the 'spears' on the front wings, it is a '56 Chevy 3200 Task Force 1/2 ton Pick Up. The car behind it in the driveway appears to be a mid 70s Cadillac. -- Last edit: 2006-01-08 02:00:02 |

I didn't add the cars further behind...as I keep getting told off ..for too many background cars.!! |

- "grille texture" was the one of 1955-56 Task-Force light-duty trucks; - "the 'spears' on the front wings" is a 1956 one indeed, but due to its position above the fender line (almost the same "spear", but under the line, for '55 models); - Not that sure about "a Chevy 3200": with what can be seen, it could be a 3100 (114" wheelbase) pickup as well as a 3200/3600 (123.25" wb) one. Is there any detail to say this is for sure a 3200? All the visible things only show a light-duty pickup... - "½-ton" was the name given to Chevrolet pre-1947 trucks, and people carried on to use it after. But it was no longer used by Chevrolet as official name since these years (but still as payload capacity). - Chevrolet code for "Chassis+cab" vehicles, which seems to be the basis of this truck, was XX03. So, if the (not really sure) 3200 id is kept: ⇒ 1956 Chevrolet Task-Force 3200 [3203] (+ "Chassis Cab" as type?) else ⇒ 1956 Chevrolet Task-Force light-duty (+ "Chassis Cab" as type?) -- Last edit: 2014-09-26 04:18:34 |
