dsl ◊ 2022-11-04 13:52	Agree Regency from book photo comparison - has the bulbous hubcaps. Announced Oct 51 at Paris and Earls Court shows - as said a rare thing in Mk1 form, despite being listed for 2+ years.
daimlere20 ◊ 2022-11-04 18:31	Yes, a 3-litre Regency. Only one saloon is known to survive. A pre-production vehicle also survives, but this was cut down and rebuilt as a works 'hack' in pick-up guise. This pre-production chassis also has a later 3.5 litre (Regency Mk2) engine fitted. The Co. had high hopes for the Regency, which proved to be a disaster! I forget the exact figures, but something like ten pre-production chassis were allocated, and a handful of production cars were sold. If you look at contemporary road tests, different sources utilise the same photos, which begs the question as to if a car was even road tested, or if in fact, the write-up, figures and photos were supplied by the Co. -- Last edit: 2022-11-04 18:47:15
