Quarterlights so Mk1A or later saloon. Grille looks plainer than more heavily emphasised Mk3, so Mk1A or 2. Side trim in thumb unclear. One strange French oddity is a batch of 25 tax-break 2.6 litre Mk1A cars built for the Paris importer in 1962 (this was followed by another 25 2.4 litres later in 62, but they all went to Austria). This could be one of the 25 French 2.6s on what's visible - very rare, but normal 3-litres were also difficult to sell in F, so maybe not so unusual in the circs. |
