Why 1954 and not 1953? |

The script reads Belvedere and that nameplate only existed on the hardtop version of the Cranbrook in 1953. In 1954 the Cambridge and Cranbrook were axed and replaced with the Plaza, Savoy and Belvedere. The fender script of the 1953 models was placed towards the front of the fender, and the trim was different, particularly around the rear fender gravel guard, which was L-shaped and not peaked. There was no connecting trim between the front and the rear fender trim either. |
