This is a 1984 Freight Rover Sherpa 200 series Van, although its just possible when the film was made the Sherpa name had been dropped (in 1987). "Freight Rover" was the new company name chosen when it was separated from the Austin-Rover group.

The front grill shape identifies this as a Freight-Rover and the square headlamps with indicators above the bumper as being a second generation K2 facelift 200 and 400 series from 1984. In 1989, after the film was made, the 200 and 400 were made by Leyland DAF with the grill changed again.

I have tried to adjust the contrast/brightness to see either vertical or horizontal bars in the grill without any success. However I believe the Leyland DAF/DAF buyout after privatisation would have been in 1989 after the movie was made. Prior to this all 'Sherpa' styled vans had the Range-Rover inspired grill with vertical bars. The Leyland-DAF type grill with the large off-set badge would have been after 1989 if my dates are correct. Do you have any data that confirms an earlier date for a redesigned grill?

The van is definitely right hand drive by the position of the windscreen wipers, therefore should I think be 'Freight Rover', even if some were exported earlier under another brand name before becoming connected with DAF.
