I've been found some interesting numbers. Skoda exported few 1000 MB [Typ 990] & 100 [Typ 722] to United States & Canada. US: 1965 - 4, 1968 - 1, 1969 - 3, 1971 - 2. Canada: 1964 - 2, 1967 - 2, 1968 - 2, 1971 - 40. Was it export for Czechoslovakian embassies or federal homologation processing? ![]() |

I was just watching the movie and THOUGHT that was a Skoda behind the cab! Of all cars in a New York City 1950s setting! Unusual, but completely authentic! Indeed there is an episode of the TV program "The Saint" set in Montreal (episode entitled "Judith), and there is a Skoda Octavia passing the old Montreal Forum along with the standard mix of American cars and an Alfa-Romeo. The big cities always had some people who would zag when everyone else seemed to be zigging!!! |
