"Back then" beginning in 1974 the new 2 door model was called a Cherokee. It was based on the Wagoneer but a less expensive model (like a Chevy Impala and Caprice). The Cherokee was also available as a 4 door but both 2 & 4 door were marketed to a younger sportier crowd than the high end Wagoneer. The only 2 door Wagoneer of this body style was a very low production model in the 1960's with a unique rear side window. Cherokee! |
