Confirmed. I didn't know they tried to sell the Mehari in the US ! were the big headlights a specific design or a matter of standards ? |

Standard Catalog entry for 1970 says "Citroen also marketed a Mehari Sun N'Surf utility vehicle, priced at $1795 in the US. .... The 2-cylinder 37-cid engine produced 33 bhp". Presumably classifying it as a utility vehicle avoided various emissions and safety restrictions - otherwise anti-smog devices would make it slower than a telegraph pole?? |
