Book reference that Hillman arranged with Automobile Products of India in Bombay to build CKD Minxes from 1949 with Rootes being one of the first manufacturers to be approved by the Indian government for such ventures. No other details except that it had expired before the rules were changed in 1956 that at least 50% of components had to be Indian-made. |
