I'm wondering, should the model origin of this be United Kingdom? As this one is essentially just a facelift of the original 1965 Transit which was developed by Ford of Great Britain. |

I had always thought it was (the first?) Dagenham/Cologne co-production; the 1966 "Observer's Guide to Commercial Vehicles" (admittedly an Anglocentric source) shows the "MkI" Transit under Ford of Britain with the earlier VW bus-like Taunus Transit still listed as current by Ford of Germany. |
