Hm... there's way too little documentation about these early motorized Reikyushas and most of it on paper, written in Japanese - hence not much from my side here, I'm afraid. In 1949, the first Japanese commercial hearse coachbuilder was established and car-based hearses arrived fashionably late in Japan, often with reused bodies taken from horse-drawn vehicles. |

Any chance it could be a German or otherwise European car? No American cars of the time match, and nor does Horch, Mercedes-Benz, or Opel. |
