One of 449 tourims Skoda importes in Spain that year.
The Spanish government bought several Skoda from Czechoslovakia in exchange for a shipment of oranges  . In this way they did not lose valuable currency

Ah, so in Czechoslovakia there were similar problems as in the DDR?
No kidding: the lack of oranges, bananas and coffee -and real cars- in the DDR was one of the reasons for its collapse in 1989/1990.

I did not know ... In Franco's time it was a widely used tactic since the most valuable asset was foreign currency and liquid money. So the government bought the oranges from Spanish farmers and the money stayed in Spain ... I imagine that Czechoslovakia would have a lack of liquidity or fruits...

No - Germany is a car-country. Over here cars were always more important than food.
