The car is an Austin A90 Atlantic. The Atlantic was released in 1949 and production ceased in 1952. The car was designed with how the British saw the wants of the US market, but while quite luxurious it was not a success. Prior to release it was tested at Indianapolis in an effort to impress the US motoring press. It was powered by a 2.6 litre four-cylinder engine that would find its way into the Austin-Healey 100. |
