Sorry, but the correct naming is "R-type Continental", not "Continental R" which is a later model. |

Plate is March 1963 to March 1964, this is, therefore, not an R-type anything if the plate is genuine, but has R-type cold air grilles rather than later. As the convention is to choose the earliest model when in doubt, and the plate suggests it should be an S3 and we don't see twin headlights, it is probably the plate which is a later issue than the car, so R-type is probably correct.
