I am not sure it is a right-hand-drive. |

It is left-hand drive (the steering wheel is closer to the visible A-pillar). I don't remember listing this as "built in Canada; made for GB" |

I can't tell from here Even if this is made for the export market, it could be more likely made from Tarrytown, NY assembly plant |

On second thought, that may not be a steering wheel (it's too small for that and too close to the dashboard), but rather something else. Yeah, I can't tell either if it's lhd or rhd. Is the wiper pattern somehow visible here (assuming it was different in rhd markets) ? |

Regardless unless we can see for sure which side the wheel is on, I'd be very wary of putting it as CDN built and made for GB, really these were less usual compared to US cars that came by other means. -- Last edit: 2020-09-16 20:29:09 |

By comparing it with this /vehicle_110595-Chevrolet-Impala-Convertible-1964.html , in my view if it was LHD the steering wheel would be clearly visible through the front quarter-lite, (the building opposite is seen through the glass). It would be far less visible when RHD. The wipe pattern is LHD, at the time I believe it remained unchanged for the low volume RHD. -- Last edit: 2020-09-16 20:41:58 |

Let's compare with these windscreen wiper here RHD: /vehicle_1425425-Chevrolet-Impala-Convertible-1867-1964.html LHD: Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" |

Now I see. The supposed steering wheel on the 'left' is most likely located on the 'right', which would explain why it looks so small from here. Also, rhd examples of these Impala's have non-parallel/claphand wipers (which the subject Impala in the main photo seems to have): https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1199830073387421696.html https://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=142916&country=au Normally, lhd verions would have parallel wipers: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1964-chevrolet-impala-15/ So, I do agree, this looks like a right-hand drive example. So, "built in Canada" would be correct in this case? Edit: rjluna2 was faster -- Last edit: 2020-09-16 21:18:08 |

Thanks to rjluna2's wiper system comparison, I can now see that the movie car's wipers are clearly clap-hands also from the rhs wiper arm shape.. |

Chance that this might be Tarrytown, NY sourced due to specialised body style (i.e. Sport Sedan and Convertible I have seen so far) rather than these Canadian 4-Door Sedan for these export market |
