Bentley MkVI or R-type SSS 1946 - 55

Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, Series I or II. 1949 - 55

I think. Perhaps. Maybe. Doesn’t have to be. Quite likely. Resemblance is there. Or could be something else. Caveat Emptor.

Royce.

or

Bentley.

Strange dashboard.

Even stranger steering wheel.

But the vents for the windscreen demister do match.

From the position of the trafficator switch, the car is indicating a left turn.

At 78mph.

Looks like a Bentley winged ‘B’ mascot in the thumbnail, n'est pas?

Those instruments are probably borrowed from something else (would a 40s-50s Bentley have a rev counter?) and look 1960s plus with fluorescent orange pointers. Speedometer has MPH/KPH dual markings and not recognisably Smiths. The top of the windscreen also looks too curved compared with the external view.
Studio mock-up for interior scenes?

The instruments are definitely non standard.

There is no proof that the Winged B is attached to the subject vehicle, only to whatever is in the thumb.

At some point I shall go into the motor house, sit in my Bentley, and compare the view of the interior woodwork.

hope so.. if not a 78mph turn could make the Sprouse twins easier to differentiate...

I have no idea who the Sprouse twins are, but closing those curtains might help.

one of the twins is seating in the middle in the main pic ( long-haired guy )
his twin brother is also an actor

No need, I’ve just recalled that the knob to erect the radio aerial is missing from the top rail.

I thought they were all girls in the picture.

i have the strange feeling the speedometer and the other gauges are coming from a GM truck from the 90's ( Suburban, Tahoe.. )

found it http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/47635201-3.html

i think they just built a dashboard from scratch for the interior shots

So, in summary, the interior has no connection with the exterior, and the exterior does not show any detail required to name or date the car, beyond the parameters I indicated at the top of the posts.

In answer to the question concerning tachometers on 40s/50s Bentleys, Standard Steel Saloons didn’t in any variant, but Continentals did.
