Not much info about Titanium racing cars, but the link about Titanium on Nick Dioguardi's wiki page redirects to Shadow Racing Cars. I presume it's essentially a Shadow racing car which was modified by one of the teams to race at Can-Am, but for some reason it's listed as Titanium, not as Shadow.

Dragging up very dusty memories from when I was a young nipper and my dad worked for an offshoot of Rootes as a metallurgical die-casting engineer, there was a lot of effort to investigate "new" metals and their usefulness (or otherwise) in car production. I think there was the Titanium Corporation (TiCo??) (or similar name) in US, who may have wanted a showpiece project to demonstrate titanium's attractions (strength and lightness) by going racing. So - jumping a few stepping-stones because I'm guessing rather than stating known fact - they sponsored Shadow's Can Am team for this season (or even commissioned Shadow to build their intended racer??). And part of the deal was complete renaming??

Completely different example, but showing the same philosophy by US metal flagship organisations - the solitary Lamborghini Miura Roadster - a 1968 Bertone showcar in a gorgeous delicate pale blue was bought by the US-based International Lead Zinc Research Organization (ILZRO) who commissioned Bertone to transform it into a showpiece demonstrator with almost every bit of suitable trim inside and out remade in zinc alloy. It was repainted in a deep olive green metallic and renamed the ZN-75 Roadster.
