Remember when Nissan tried to sell us an Opel Vectra A that wasn't one? Nissan Primera [P10] is my rather unpleasant suggestion here.

 My first thought was something like BMW E-Klasse W202... But indeed it could be something Japanese. Front door doesn't really fit for a P10... Or is that a reflection?

What's wrong with Primera P10s?? Excellent cars to drive at the time - way ahead of Cavaliers, Sierras etc - nearly as good as Peugeot 405 which was probably the best.

W202 is a Mercedes C-Klasse.

Why did I know that there's someone who did not understand the joke? Of course I know that the W202 is not an E-Klasse and not a BMW, but the thing in the picture looks like a mixture of these three cars...

It's a Renault 19 sedan (notice the door lock and the quarter windows)

And speaking of Primera [P10], there was really nothing wrong with it. I've owned one with a quite nice (but fuel thirsty) 2.0 petrol engine many years ago and it was great. Maybe it's not a good-looker for the majority, or maybe it's perceived by many as a pensioner's car, but it was a 'good' car by all means. I certainly never understood the popularity and appeal of Vectra A back in its heyday, though.
