Anachronism , and moreover I doubt that british double-deckers, whatever the type and generation, have been operated by Berlin "BVG"

Reminds me of the RT in The Untouchables. :)

I think there were double-deckers in the US once upon a time, but I suppose that none of them survives.

Double decker buses were indeed manufactured in the US.

Thanks for those links. I'd tried to search on Google for American double-deckers, but coudn't find anything.

:)....

Googling results mostly in all the tourist double deckers imported from the UK. ;)

Probably just as many today in New York (and other cities) as in the 1930s-1950s.

That's what I mean; I couldn't find anything about double-deckers made in the US.

If the entrance hadn't been on the wrong side they might almost have got away with it ... :D

Reverse the film! I think it's safe to assert that no Routemasters were operating in Berlin immediately postwar.

"AEC RM Routemaster" only brings up two entries. The rest (three pages' worth) are listed as "AEC Routemaster".

All these groups of letter before "Routemaster" name are usefull and exact since they determine différents versions of this famous serie of AEC Bus. For instance:

RM Routemaster (normal chassis - 64 seats)
RML Routemaster (long chassis - 72 seats)
RCL Routemaster (Long chassis- Comfort Version)
etc...

Maybe we could enter all the Routemasters as AEC Routemaster RM, RML ...instead of AEC RM Routemaster..etc...
