Sunbar ◊ 2019-12-23 11:49	Unless it was filmed over a period of two summers, filming likely took place in the summer of 1969 as the Austin FX4's tax expired in October 1969. There are enough dents in the side to say its been in use for some months and the Royal Mail vans tended to be in service for more years than was probably normal elsewhere. Also the small rectangular J4-M10 badge looks to be missing from the door or painted-over. The bumpers were likely painted black when new but had be repainted red when the whole van was repainted. 1960 Morris j4

The movie was actually shot in the Spring of 1969, but it was not until early 1971 that it was seen in its native Britain. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067738/trivia?ref_=tt_ql_trv_1 Presumably "director" is a typo for "distributor".
