I agree with DS420 Limousine compared with this it looks similar (door handle, rear glass and coach-line). /vehicle_95925-Daimler-DS420-Limousine-1980.html However it seems an unlikely choice for recent use by royalty except that the Queen Mother apparently preferred the Daimlers. -- Last edit: 2007-09-14 15:14:20 |

^ Queen mum had a sequence of 5 DS420s bought 1970-92, usually registered NLT 1 and NLT 2 while in her ownership, though many sold off and re-regd with new plates afterwards. Also Buck Pal bought a 1987 (D500 GUW) for general royal household use. Last known living in Vienna; has also had D111 JHV plate. |

Three of the final four cars produced went to the Royal Family. I think the Queen Mother's final Limousine was the 3rd last produced, currently registered as K123EYL. I have seen it on a few occasions over the years, and it had covered more miles than I would have expected, I seem to recall. |

Lots of info on her DS 420s. Confirms ^ that her final one was the 3rd last produced, currently K123 EYL. |

Hendrik-Jan is a brilliant bloke, and knows more about the DS420s than anyone, I can state with a degree of certainty. Our paths haven't crossed for about ten years now. |
