LF9264 probably correct for WWI era but likely to be a civilian truck? Lightened picture... ![]() |

LF 9264 was a rattly old bus before colour was invented, so no idea what it's doing here. |

Since it was a B class, it probably went to France. The vehicle in the coloured picture may only have the numberplate in common.. |

Not likely then to have any connection with the original bus (it would be a museum piece even if only the chassis survived). The truck's appearance closed cab with windscreen could suggest a 1920-1925 appearance rather than ten years earlier. Only a slight suggestion of the bonnet shape that could identify it in the future if it turns up again in a movie or if it retains the false number plate in future appearances. |

Ted “Kid” Lewis v Boy McCormick, 17/11/1921 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=o50K_l6oYbE So the bus was a survivor. So was Ted Lewis.... https://www.boxinghistory.org.uk/records/13487-Ted-Kid-Lewis-St-George's.pdf Amazing number of fights and a long life. -- Last edit: 2019-04-22 12:44:57 |
