Bumpers do not indicate engine size. All 1960-67 Mk2 (2.4, 3.4, 3.8) had this crash-barrier format, also the Daimler 2½ Litre V8. In Sept 67, a new slim bumper was fitted for the renamed 240 and 340, and Daimler V8 250. The only clues to engine size in Mk.II is that 2.4 had horn grilles instead of fogs (although many owners fitted fogs as an option), and the colours of the grille badge can sometimes be recognised. 3.4 had red inner and outer, so probably matches here. 2.4 had black outer with red inner, 3.8 was red outer with cream inner. |
